Description of actual services provided: 5-day training for 25 members of the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA-Niger) to strengthen their skills in voluntary and involuntary displacement and resettlement.
An 8-day virtual training course whose overall objective is to build the capacity of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) executives in Procurement.


Specific objectives: Identify key issues related to the resettlement of project-affected people. Develop TORs to properly frame the project's resettlement needs. Evaluate the quality of resettlement documents prepared by consultants. Master best practices for monitoring resettlement implementation.
Specific objectives

- Develop a detailed understanding of procurement according to World Bank and other donor guidelines.- Master the new procurement framework adopted by the World Bank in 2016 and raise awareness of the new guidance. - Understand the activities, procedures, standards and principles underlying procurement of supplies and works, and the selection of consultants. - Define and plan all activities in the process of a Request for Proposal and Invitation to Bid.
